Mike Feria, Mauro Feria Tumbocon, Jr. in real life, is a Doctor of Medicine graduate from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. Though he is an adept medical doctor, he is more than an expert and famous as a multidisciplinary arts critic.

Although he is a US-based media practitioner, Feria is an international cultural worker as well. He used to run regular columns on arts and culture, lifestyle and entertainment in several Philippine broadsheets and magazines.

He was one of the founders of the first ever socially committed organization of Philippine movie press Malayang Kilusan ng mga Manunulat Laban sa Yabang at Abuso or MAKINILYA.

Mike is also a former member of the prestigious Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (MPP), a group of highly qualified, erudite and committed arts critics.

When he left MPP, Feria established the short-lived KRITIKA, an organization of arts critics but later he renamed it Young Critics Circle (YCC), an academe-based critics armed with fresh ideas on multidisciplinary criticism.

In the US, Feria organized in 1993 the first ever Filipino Arts and Cinema International or FACINE which promotes Philippine arts and culture in diaspora. FACINE is a highly recognized film festival around the world.
