Art Tapalla, Artemio TM Tapalla in real life, is a respected freelance tabloid entertainment editor and a movie writer. He started his show biz career as a Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) member in the late 1960s until he branched out into entertainment writing as a contributor to the Filipino broadsheet Pahayagang Masa, one of the publications of the late freedom fighter, journalist and media operative Jose Burgos, Jr., better known as Joe Burgos. He has written and edited for Artista Magazine and several tabloids like Saksi, Llamado etc.
